DEEP WORK, DONE EFFICIENTLY

Online EMDR Intensives

EMDR intensives offer focused, extended sessions where we can create deep, lasting change in days rather than months—helping you break free from challenging relationship patterns, trauma triggers and heal attachment wounds at their core.

Unlike traditional weekly therapy, intensives allow us to work deeply with your nervous system without the interruption of the 50-minute format. This creates powerful momentum for transformation, especially for those who feel stuck despite intellectual understanding of their patterns.

HOW EMDR WORKS

Activating your Brain’s Natural Healing Process

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a proven, evidence-based therapy recognized by the American Psychological Association, the World Health Organization, and the Department of Defense. It works by helping your brain process traumatic memories that have become "stuck" in your nervous system.

Through bilateral stimulation (eye movements, tapping, or audio ), EMDR activates your brain's natural healing processes—similar to what happens during REM sleep. This allows traumatic memories to be processed and integrated, transforming how they're stored in your brain.

The result? Memories that once triggered intense emotional reactions become neutral. Negative beliefs about yourself shift to positive ones. And your body no longer responds as if the threat is still present.

Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated EMDR's effectiveness for trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues—often in fewer sessions than traditional talk therapy.

Common Questions

Can I do an intensive if I already have a therapist?

Yes. I work with many clients as an adjunct to their primary therapy. If you've felt that something profound has yet to change despite cognitive understanding, an EMDR intensive can help create that shift.

Will my insurance cover this?

As an out-of-network provider, I provide a superbill for all direct contact therapy services. Many insurance companies reimburse a portion of the cost. I recommend checking your specific policy details regarding out-of-network benefits and multi-hour therapy sessions.

Can current clients participate in intensives?

Yes. Modified formats and pricing are available for existing clients.

How do I know which format is right for me?

During your initial consultation, we'll identify the best approach based on your specific needs, history, and goals. Complex trauma generally benefits from the 3-day format, while single-event trauma may be effectively addressed in a half-day intensive.
